Benoît Sinthon, a young French Chef with an outstanding professional curriculum, runs Il Gallo D'Oro and all the kitchens at The Cliff Bay. Suave Mediterranean flavours with a few Italian touches as well as elements from traditional Madeira cuisine predominate amongst the delicacies proposed.

We recommend that you start with “lobster salad with green asparagus, citrus fruit and orange vinaigrette” and then try the “rack of roast lamb with vegetable moussaka, stuffed garlic and taggiashi olives or the “duo of sole with cuttlefish ink ravioli, cream of basil and mussels”. When you reach the delicious “Tainori chocolate fondant with banana coulis, pyramid of cape gooseberries in jelly and avocado foam” it might just be the moment to watch the last rays of the sun tingeing the skies over the Atlantic.

After dinner why not visit the bar next door: full of personality and with a welcoming atmosphere, it is the perfect place to enjoy an after dinner drink.
