TAP and Urbanos Group in Agreement in Principle over Groundforce

This deal now depends on assessments by the Government and the Competition Authority, now that the unions representing the workers have been informed.

Following the deadlock in negotiations with Aviapartner, TAP contacted the remaining parties interested in the acquisition again, among which was Urbanos Group.

TAP and Urbanos Group see this as a very positive turn of events, allowing Groundforce's work positions to be retained. Groundforce is a leading company in Portugal in the market of airport handling of passengers, luggage and cargo. They are also to be congratulated that this agreement involves a Portuguese group whose high quality is recognised both in the domestic and the international market.
